This work was developed for the Brazilian Biodiversity Institute (BrBio) in partnership with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio). Its purpose is to produce a Good Practices Booklet informing people about invasive exotic species (EEI) and their impacts on the Cagárras Islands Archipelago while pointing out preventive measures against introducing these species into marine and island environments.

The Booklet is part of the implementation of MONA Cagárras' Plan for the Prevention, Control, Eradication and Monitoring of Invasive Exotic Species (EEI Plan) and was launched in November 2022.
BrBio is a Brazilian Civil Society Organisation of Public Interest (OSCIP) backed by science and focused on marine and coastal conservation in Brazil to develop new competencies, skills and attitudes aimed at a fundamental change in culture and a better quality of life for our population.
